The Main Altar
Padmakumara Room
Enshrined
in this room is a bronze statue of Living Buddha Lian-sheng, the Root
Guru of True Buddha School. It is one of only three in the world. When
the statue was first delivered to the Purple Lotus Society, it was discovered
that it was larger than the doorway of the Padmakumara Room. After Master
Samantha prayed intently, a miracle happened. The statue shrank just
enough to pass through the doorway, and afterwards returned to its original
size.
Many students and visitors have had spiritual experiences and received
consolation in this room. Its strong energy field has also attracted
many American psychics, who come here to pay homage and to recharge
their energies.

of Yin spirits, who oversees certain territories. The Cheng Huang Deity

from the city Hsin Chu in Taiwan. A powerful deity, Cheng Huang can
fulfill worshippers' wishes.
Local earth gods are the deities closest to mankind.
There over over 80 local earth gods in the Purple Lotus Society. One
may pray to them for help in financial difficulties, illnesses, finding
a spouse, etc. and expect a speedy response.
Ksitigarbha Hall and Bardo Deliverance
Inside
the Ksitigarbha Hall are altars set up mainly for spirits in the "in
between state," which include one's ancestors, attached spirits,
karmic enemy spirits, wandering spirits, and the Elite Group---"Jing
Ying Fu." Through Tantric rituals, many of these spirits receive
purification and blessings and, hopefully, will be reborn in Amitabha's
Western Paradise. The Bardo Deliverance ceremony held at the Purple
Lotus Society dedicate to both the living and the dead. One's luck and
health may improve as one's attached karmic spirits attain an expansion
in consciousness and subsequently depart.
